Does anxiety/fear come from feeling intimidated?
PROVERBS 29:25
“Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety.”
Do you walk into a church service or social event and feel like you want to hide?
God created each of us after His image and likeness. He did not create us to feel intimidated by others. This is the reason: ALL of us are created by God and ALL of us will answer to God at either the Judgment Seat of Christ or the White Throne Judgment.
God loves ALL of us equally. His love is not based on our performance or pedigree. God commands us to love Him with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength and love others as self. We must love self with God’s unconditional love. It does not matter what others think. God calls us foolish if we compare ourselves among ourselves! If someone is acting superior to you, it does not impress God!
We must understand God’s truth: Our value/worth comes from God alone as being our Creator and then God becoming our Savior! Our value is not based on our performance or pedigree! It comes from God alone! God’s truth is all that matters!
Anxiety/fear can have its root in feeling intimidated by others. Feelings of anxiety can be replaced by knowing God’s truth: We are God’s Special Treasure – I Pet. 2:9. Toxic thinking about self because of what we think others are thinking about us is destructive. We can be transformed by renewing our mind with God’s truth – Romans 12: 2. God gives us power, love and a sound mind, not a spirit fear!
We can refuse to allow another person to intimidate us or try and make us feel inferior. We do this by knowing God’s truth about who we are in Him. We are His unique design (Psm 139) created by Him for His glory! God knows everything about us and still loves us. Anxiety/fear will flee when we know and take ownership of God’s truth!
