LIFE-Living In Freedom EVERYDAY-(Part 4)
We have finally reached the fourth phase/stage of our emotional healing journey. This stage has the most unique characteristics. It is a time of stillness and quietness before we experience living in our God-given purpose. This is the time when our battles are being won from within. The mind and the heart are now connected and they will travel the remainder of this healing journey together. They are no longer at war with one another. An amazing transformation is taking place.
As this transformation continues from within, it is mind-boggling to see our battles being won during this time of quietness and stillness. Whoever heard of battles being won in this manner? Our pride becomes totally humbled and the last stirrings of our ego become extinguished. If there are any remains of worldly ambition and carnality, they are totally obliterated. We have no other prayer than: “Lord, Thy will be done.”
We are no longer held bound by the chains of guilt, shame, and worthlessness. There is no condemnation leading to victimization. The victim is now the victor. We are no longer fighting for our sanity. We have our Creator who is now fighting for us. No more hiding behind the masks that we thought were keeping us safe.
We are now living Romans 12:2 which reads, “Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
We never knew freedom could feel so good, and forgiveness taste so sweet! Continue on in this stage to allow your heart and mind to become saturated by the profound encounters of grace and the unexpected moments with mercy. These two components—mercy and grace—have been right beside us all along.
