The reason I write about sins in the church is because I have provided a nationwide teaching ministry for churches and conferences and nationwide counseling ministry by phone/Skype — (636) 448-0121 — as a Certified Pastoral Counselor for 24 years. I counsel pastors and lay people. In Galatians the fifth chapter, Paul describes the spiritual warfare between the flesh and the Spirit – the works of the flesh versus the fruit of the Spirit.
After Paul lists several sins, he says (Galatians 5:21), “Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.” If we allow any sin to control us, we will not make it to heaven. We cannot run to the altar every week and “repent” and go out and repeat the same sins and expect to be saved!
My nationwide counseling/teaching ministry is revealing how these sins are active in people who attend Apostolic churches – it should not be so. Depression and damaged emotions in the church are the fallout from all the above sins. My heartbeat in teaching and counseling is to encourage and help every believer to live holy lives unto God. Jesus said, “I would that all would come to repentance.”
My articles come from deep within my soul. I feel impelled by God to confront sin issues and encourage people to make the choice to repent of sins and addictions and be willing to be transformed by renewing their minds with God’s truth (Romans 12: 1 & 2). The devil has crept into the church destroying the people from within. Sin spreads as yeast that Paul addresses in his letter to Corinth.
Psychology’s root definition is the study of the soul. I can teach and counsel from Genesis to Revelations on the study of the soul. God breathed into Adam and man became a living soul. Let’s be holy as He is holy!
