Apostolic Ministry Vol 32 No 4
“Preach Acts as a covenant, and they will believe!” Those were the words the Lord spoke to Sis. Linda Schreckenberg early that morning after the Inauguration.
She explained that the months leading up to the Presidential election had been filled with so much turmoil and so many clamoring voices that her soul was so weary of all of it. In a conversation with her elderly mother on the night of the Inauguration, she spoke these words; “I’m just so done with all of it! I only want to hear the voice of God and no other voice.”
God heard her words and answered! As she woke the next morning, the Lord had completely removed all the discouragement as if it had never happened. Then He totally turned her entire focus to souls. He immediately reminded her of the amazing study on Acts as a covenant that He had given to her, titled God’s Final covenant with Mankind. Then came His words, “Preach Acts as a covenant, and they will believe!” He reminded her that the disciples had fished all night and had caught nothing, but at His word, they obeyed, and the results were astounding.
As an intercessor and writer/teacher of Apostolic truth for many years, Sis. Linda knew she had heard from the Lord. The study He had given to her is filled with unmistakable scriptural proof that the Book of Acts is the book of the final covenant God would make with mankind. The study is a PowerPoint presentation that can be shown on any church screen in parts or in more than one session.
“I’ve never seen Acts like that,” said one Apostolic pastor in Kenya, after viewing the study. He preached from the study to a group of people in a terrorist area of Somalia. All seventeen present received the truth wholeheartedly and were baptized. Thirteen received the Holy Ghost, and a new Apostolic church was born.
All responses to the study have been extremely positive. Global Missions International Evangelist, Rev. Charles Robinette, described the study as dynamic and very powerful! Rev. Don Haymon II, Pastor of Calvary Apostolic Church, Denver, CO. described the study as powerful, a revelatory message, well-delivered and of stellar content.
Only two percent of the population of America is Jewish, and since a Gentile is anyone that is not a Jew, America is a Gentile nation. Most in Gentile nations have very little understanding of covenants. As Gentiles, most are totally unaware there is a final covenant they must enter to be saved, and they do not realize the Book of Acts is where that covenant is found. Therefore, the Book of Acts is often misunderstood, misrepresented, and even ignored by the religious world. However, the word “covenant” is mentioned 256 times in the Old Testament and 24 times in the New Testament, signifying the importance of God’s covenants. A covenant is defined as an agreement, contract, treaty or promise between two parties, with obligations from both parties. And, the Word tells us God’s covenant of Promise to Abraham would extend to “all families of the earth.” (Genesis 12:1-3)
The Book of Acts is the book of God’s final covenant. God always has been and will forever be a covenant God, and He only relates to mankind through covenants. Man is either in God’s covenant given for that particular time period, or He is out of covenant with God. God only referred to those who were in covenant with Him as His people. One couldn’t just believe He was God and be in covenant with Him. Being in covenant with God was and still is a serious thing.
God finished commissioning Moses to stand before Pharaoh, then in the next verse of scripture, Exodus 4:24, the Word says “…by the way in the inn, the Lord met him, and sought to kill him.” Moses had neglected the covenant rite of circumcision on his son. Obeying God’s covenant instructions to be in covenant with Him to be called His people is not an option. It is a requirement! In the New Testament, we find that the circumcision part of the final covenant is being buried with Christ in baptism; “In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands….Buried with Him in baptism….” (Colossians 2:11-12) We must teach and preach the Book of Acts as a covenant and they will believe.
